Dr. Victoria Fitzgerald is a licensed psychologist with advanced training and education in neuropsychological assessment. She works with children ages 6 through young adulthood who are challenged by developmental, learning and emotional difficulties.
Dr. Fitzgerald has a private practice in the Southlake, TX where she conducts evaluations and consultation. Dr. Fitzgerald is adept at detecting and diagnosing various developmental delays, learning disorders and emotional problems, including but not limited to: ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Communication (language) Disorders, Learning Disorders such as Dyslexia, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders, Behavioral difficulties and Executive Functioning problems.
Dr. Fitzgerald draws upon her training in clinical psychology and neuropsychology to understand the impact of acquired or genetic disorders that impact behavior and learning. She aims to help her clients and families understand the pieces of the puzzle by evaluating each client’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses and emotional profile in a way that makes for the most impactful educational and personal plan.
Dr. Fitzgerald’s services extend beyond the office and include classroom observations and frequent communication with educators, therapists and medical doctors, when appropriate. Dr. Fitzgerald is adept at providing assistance in determining special education designation in the public schools (504 Plan, IEP/ARD meetings) as well as helping students receive necessary accommodations in private schools and on standardized testing (SAT/ACT).
Dr. Fitzgerald is affiliated with the American Psychological Association (APA), Texas Psychological Association (TPA) and Dallas Society of Psychoanalytic Psychology.
